Product Manager


The Product Manager will report directly to the CTO and be responsible for operationalizing the vision of the CEO and CTO to ensure our product remains best-in-class. The intent is to have the Product Manager be the foundational position upon which we build a strong product team as we scale our business into several new healthcare verticals over the next 24 months.

Due to the speed of our growth, we are seeking a candidate who has (1) more than five years product experience, (2) developed products in healthcare,(3) startup experience, and (4) successfully coordinated product development. Day-to-day responsibilities will include planning, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, managing the product throughout the product life cycle, and working closely with our engineering team to deliver winning products. The role also includes working collaboratively with sales, marketing, and customer success to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met, and that the product fully supports our strategy and goals.

Overall you should have a customer-focused spirit, using creative problem solving and iteration to evaluate, manage, and scale our product to millions of delighted customers. The ideal candidate has excellent communication experience, organizational skills, and a passion for connecting with people, leading through example, and establishing structure and process to scale a team.

Here's what you'll do as part of the team:

  • Play a key role in helping to define the product strategy, requirements, KPIs, roadmap, and timeline
  • Partner with engineering and data teams to drive and deliver new features against ambitious timelines
  • Perform user research and competitive analysis
  • Create personas, user stories, story maps, acceptance criteria, and release schedules with prioritized features and corresponding justifications against both qualitative and quantitative metrics
  • Assist with quality assurance of new feature development to ensure products meet our expectations for high quality and behavior

Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be successful:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in the technology and healthcare industries
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching at least 2 products into market
  • Strong experience working in SCRUM / agile framework for product development
  • Experience writing acceptance tests and managing the QA process
  • Experience with the following tools/systems: JIRA software, JIRA Service Management, analytics tools such as Tableau and Google Analytics
  • Solid understanding of technical concepts (enough to have unaided productive conversations with engineering)
  • Excited by the idea of managing multiple responsibilities at once in a startup environment, and ruthlessly prioritizing the highest impact work
  • Learn quickly and update processes/structure on the fly while building the “plane in flight”

Analytics Skills:

  • Understanding of digital technologies production processes and client requirements

General Business Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, with great instincts as to when/how to communicate both internally/externally around product releases and any challenges to the timelines
  • Organizational and project management skills to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and are agile to changes
  • Meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational/project management skills and ability to review deliverables for completeness, quality and compliance with established styles/standards
  • Highly motivated/self-starter with a sense of ownership, willingness to learn, high degree of curiosity and desire to succeed
  • Sense of accountability and ownership for accounts being managed and ability to look for a viable solution to any potential problem
  • Must perform well in high pressure situations, balance competing priorities, and demonstrate the ability to work without direct supervision
  • Ability to work with and influence a wide range of cross-functional work teams and leaders within a matrix organization
  • Excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication to effectively communicate results/implications both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences regarding operationalizing data
  • Passionate and persuasive, ability to understand how to convince a customer to think non-traditionally in order to understand the value of new technology
